So, what message are the Bears sending to Thomas Jones and Lance Briggs (or their collective agent Drew Rosenhaus) by signing their backups to long term contract extensions??? The Bears signed Adrian Peterson to a 3 year deal and Hunter Hillenmeyer to a 5 year deal.
